Construction Method

Wet‑laid Construction Procedure

1. Substrate treatment: Remove dust and debris; pre‑wet dry substrate surface.

2. Special adhesive mixing: Cement : Water : Adhesive Powder = 100 : 40‑45 : 0.5. Put adhesive powder into mix‑up bucket first, add water under stirring, then add cement while stirring. Mix until lump‑free, sediment‑free and foam‑free.

3. Adjust adhesive thickness to 2‑3mm according to substrate flatness. Spread cement slurry within laying area; do not spread excessive area, lay membrane immediately after spreading.

4. Peel off release film on membrane bottom, lay membrane onto fresh cement mortar. Apply cement mortar and lay next membrane piece sequentially. Lay adjacent membranes in parallel butt‑joint schedule.

5. Beat and press membrane surface with wooden float or rubber plate to squeeze out trapped air, make membrane tightly bonded with mortar.

6. Open‑air curing: Leave for 24‑48 hours (time depends on ambient temperature; higher temperature leads to shorter curing time).

7. For vertical wall application: Temporarily seal membrane terminal with tape or thick cement mortar sealant to avoid rapid moisture loss.

8. Lap joint width ≥ 80mm, adopt membrane‑to‑membrane lap joint.

Self‑adhesive Construction Procedure

1. Substrate cleaning: Thoroughly clean substrate; keep substrate flat, clean and dry.

2. Apply primer: Roll‑on or spray primer evenly onto prepared substrate, avoid missing spots and bare substrate.

3. Install additional waterproofing layer: Prior to main membrane laying, install self‑adhesive additional layer (same material) at detail joints per specification & design requirements.

4. Snap layout lines: On dry prepared substrate, snap reference lines according to membrane width plus lap allowance for laying guidance.

5. Large‑area laying: Peel off bottom release film, lay membrane on dry substrate. Roll membrane surface gently to expel trapped air and achieve tight substrate contact. Adopt lap‑joint for adjacent membranes; recommended long‑side lap width: 80mm.

6. Remove release film from lower membrane lap edge, clean lap surfaces and complete lap bonding. Apply sealant if needed for tight lap sealing.

Transportation & Storage

Store membranes in well‑ventilated place away from sunlight and rain. Storage temperature ≤ 45℃.Store different types & specifications separately. Flat stacking height ≤5 layers;store vertically in single layer.Keep away from acid, alkali, oil and organic solvents during transportation.Prevent tilting and crushing during transport; cover with tarpaulin if necessary. Shelf‑life is minimum 1 year under proper storage conditions.
