JX310 Polymer Cement (JS) Waterproof Coating is a two-component water-based waterproof coating with a scientifically developed formulation. It consists of an organic liquid component made from high-quality modified acrylic copolymer emulsion and various additives, plus an inorganic powder component composed of high-alumina high-iron cement and multiple fillers.

Scope of Application

• Suitable for waterproofing, anti-seepage and moisture-proofing of kitchens, bathrooms, balconies and other projects.

• Can serve as one waterproof layer for multi-layer waterproofing system of Grade Ⅰ & Ⅱ roofs.

• Type Ⅰ is applicable for building waterproof projects under long-term immersion conditions. Type Ⅱ & Type Ⅲ are suitable for waterproof construction on both water-facing and back-water surfaces.

Construction Process

Construction Method

• Substrate Cleaning: Clean the substrate thoroughly with proper tools, free of dust, debris and standing water.

• Primer Rolling: Primer is used to improve adhesion between coating and substrate. Primer can be omitted if the substrate is wet or non-absorbent and clean (subject to site conditions).

• Reinforcing Layer for Details: Add reinforced fabric layer for leakage-prone areas such as floor drains, pipe roots, internal & external corners. First apply an even coat of JS coating with the rubber scraper or paint brush (500mm width), then paste reinforced fabric immediately for strengthening. Press the fabric flat with brush to closely bond with under-coat, overlap width 100mm, then apply 1~2 extra coats to reach designed thickness.

• 1st Coat Application: After detail treatment and film drying, apply the first full-surface coat. Apply evenly without local deposition, scrape repeatedly to eliminate bubbles between coating and substrate.

• 2nd Coat Application: Apply the second coat after the first coat becomes tack-free. The brushing direction ought to be perpendicular to the previous coat. Repeat coating until reaching the designed thickness.

• Inspection During Construction: Inspect while coating, repair defects promptly. Site supervisors and inspectors must conduct on-site inspection. Next coat can only start after passing inspection. Pay special attention to junctions, corners and internal/external corners. Submit for overall acceptance by supervisor/client after self-check.

• Protection after Acceptance: After the first acceptance of the membrane, the contractor shall lay a protective cover (cardboard, PE film, etc.) to prevent damage during pipe installation and subsequent work. Before constructing the mortar protective layer, remove the protection, recheck the waterproof membrane, and repair any damage before applying mortar protection. No drilling or chiseling is allowed after waterproof layer completion. If necessary, contact the coating contractor promptly to avoid hidden leakage risks.

Notes

• Construction is prohibited on rainy, foggy days or when wind force ≥ Grade 5. Do not construct under the temperature below 5℃ or above 35℃, or under direct scorching sun.

• Water-tightness test can only be carried out after the membrane is fully dried.

• Protective layer construction shall be implemented promptly after membrane acceptance. Mix materials according to construction progress.

• Mixed material must be used up within 40 minutes.

Transportation & Storage

• Protect from rain, sun exposure and freezing during transportation. Avoid squeezing and collision, keep packages intact.

• Store the product in the dry, ventilated and cool place. Storage temperature for liquid component shall not be lower than 5℃.
