JX331 Non-curable rubber asphalt waterproof coating will not cure after long-term exposure to air and is insoluble in water. It features ultra-high bonding strength, adapts to complex construction surfaces, and can automatically locate leaking points to repair damaged waterproof layers. It never solidifies, contains no solvents, and complies with national safety and environmental protection requirements. It has outstandingly creep property, excellent waterproof performance and aging resistance. Multiple construction methods are available, including brushing, spraying and grouting for leaking stoppage. It can also be used together with waterproof membranes to form a composite waterproof system.

Scope of Application

• Excellent substrate adaptability: When the substrate cracks or stretches the waterproof layer, the non-curable rubber asphalt layer absorbs stress to ensure long-term integrity of the whole waterproof system.

Construction Process

JX331 non-curable rubber asphalt waterproof coating can be applied by spraying or brushing. Select the proper method according to site conditions.

• Before construction, inspect the special spraying equipment, clean spray guns, raw material pipelines, filters and valves, and test whether the sprayer works normally.

• Detail treatment: Brush the detailed areas such as internal/external corners and junctions between horizontal and vertical surfaces first, with a recommended thickness of 2mm. Cut the waterproof membrane into the matching shapes and attach it. Carry out full-scale construction after the additional layer is finished to ensure uniform coating thickness.

• Large-area spraying construction:

1. After substrate cleaning, turn on the heating tank. Pour preheated and dewaxed material into the tank for heating. When the coating reaches sprayable temperature (120℃), apply the non-curable rubber-asphalt coating evenly with dedicated spraying equipment. Change spray nozzles according to designed thickness. The waterproof layer can be formed in one pass to meet design requirements.

2. After spraying a certain area, test coating thickness by needle gauge before membrane installation. If the thickness is insufficient or local reinforcement is needed, supplement by manual brushing. Spraying shall be completed by sections and zones.

3. Cover with waterproof membranes promptly after spraying to prevent excessive dust on coating surface from reducing adhesion between coating and membrane. Scrape non-curable coating within the membrane overlap width. Compact the overlapped membrane with a roller. The surface can bear foot traffic right after membrane laying, marking the completion of construction.

Notes

• Heat and stir the coating evenly before application. Recommended temperature: 120℃-140℃ for trowel coating, 140℃-180℃ for spraying. Heating temperature must NOT exceed 200℃, otherwise material performance will be affected.

• Works involving non-curable rubber asphalt coating require heating, spraying, and extensive mechanical and electrical operations. Mandatory on-site construction guidance by professional technicians is required.

• Fire prevention and anti-scald protection shall be prepared at the construction site, with corresponding equipment and first-aid supplies ready.

• Non-curable coating works best with asphalt-based membranes with perfect compatibility. Overlap shall be made on the membrane itself.

Transportation & Storage

• Packed in sealed and dry iron drums.

• Keep away from fire sources. Avoid direct sunbeam exposure and rain, prevent collision and ensure good ventilation.

• Storage temperature ≤40℃.
