He stressed that under the dual carbon goals, to meet growing demand for high-quality green buildings, new standards require adherence to site-specific principles—integrating local climate, environment, resources, economy, and culture—and employing precise design to achieve safe, healthy, convenient, resource-efficient, and environmentally harmonious performance throughout a building’s lifecycle.

Deputy Secretary-General Zhao Qinyu of the China Construction Waterproofing Association discussed the '2023 China Construction Waterproofing Industry Outlook' topic, analyzing current industry conditions and identifying ongoing challenges. He highlighted that the sector is currently in a transitional phase—seeking high-quality development, exploring cost efficiency, navigating management disruptions, and undergoing deep reflection on capital investment.

Zhang Wucui, General Manager of the China Construction Waterproofing Association, provided a detailed explanation of the 2023 national waterproofing policy, covering the background of regulation drafting, foundational framework, main content, implementation measures, and market environment changes, offering clear guidance for future progress.

At the forum, Li Jiangping, General Manager of the Market Department at Jinling Waterproof Group, introduced the 'Green Defense System,' detailing its core products and technical solutions.
